Dave is a seasoned investment professional with more than four decades of experience in the financial services industry. He recently retired from his role as Senior Portfolio Manager with RBC Dominion Securities after an accomplished 44-year career. Throughout that time, Dave authored more than 900 investment updates, many of which were featured in major publications, providing timely insights on markets, investing, and economic trends.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dave is an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed multiple marathons and Ironman triathlons. He has also dedicated 25 years to volunteer search and rescue work in the Agassiz-Harrison region, participating in more than 800 missions and serving his community with distinction.
Dave is the co-author of Mind, Money & Markets, written with Janice Dorn, M.D., Ph.D. The book explores the psychology of investing and has received endorsements from respected industry leaders, including the Partner and Head of Trading for Goldman Sachs Asia.
Following his retirement in March 2026, Dave continues to share his expertise as an Investment Manager for a select group of major investors.
This session will also provide an opportunity to connect with fellow members and engage in meaningful professional discussion within the Fraser Valley CPA community.
